The experience
A place to practise how you lead.
On Norway’s west coast, shared challenges create opportunities to practise communication, decisions and responsibility. Get feedback on what you do, then put one adjustment into action.
Start a conversationWhy experience
See your team with fresh eyes.
We use practical challenges on Norway’s west coast to make leadership behaviours visible and give you opportunities to practise again. Each challenge starts with a clear skill to develop.
The activity serves the learning goal. Facilitators observe how you communicate, include others and adapt. The debrief identifies a specific change to practise in the next round.
Real behaviour
Patterns surface in the moment, not in theory.
Shared reference
The team gains a common language grounded in lived experience.
Immediate practice
Leaders can adjust, try again and feel the difference.
The arc
A journey with purpose in every phase.
Arrive
Leave the noise behind and establish the conditions for honest work.
Orient
Understand the mission, the boundaries and what success requires.
Practise
Work through uncertainty where communication and judgement have consequences.
Debrief and repeat
Examine what happened, hear specific feedback and try again with one deliberate adjustment.
Transfer
Connect the insight directly to the team, the strategy and Monday morning.

Challenge with care
Demanding does not mean reckless.
Exercises are selected and adapted to the learning goal, participants and conditions. Qualified activity providers manage technical tasks. Alternative roles must offer meaningful leadership practice.
A calm decision, a useful question or asking for help can demonstrate leadership. The skills below guide the learning; exercises and participation requirements are agreed for each program.
Skills for everyday leadership
The leadership skills you practise.
Clear communication
Give a clear brief, listen carefully and check understanding. Use feedback to make your next conversation or handover clearer.
Decision-making under pressure
Weigh incomplete information, make priorities explicit and explain your decision. Practise recognising when new information calls for a change.
Leading through strengths
Recognise what different people contribute, match responsibility to strengths and invite quieter voices. Practise giving others the space to lead.
Trust and shared responsibility
Ask for help, give honest feedback and make clear commitments. Practise sharing ownership and following through on what the team agrees.
Adaptability and resilience
Stay attentive when plans change, support the team and manage your own response. Practise balancing persistence with recovery and a willingness to change course.
Learning and follow-through
Turn feedback into one specific adjustment and try again. Choose where to use the skill at work, who can give feedback and when you will review progress.
